Jennifer Westendorf (left ) and Ella Stevens (right) have been invited to the US Soccer U17 Womens National Team training camp in Carson California from January 26-February 2. Both girls play on the GSA Phoenix U16 ECNL team. The girls have had a successful season, their team is currently 2nd in the Conference.
Four GSA Phoenix teams played in the ECNL Florida Showcase and after 12 games had a record of 6-3-3.
The U15s had a record of 3-0-0 , U16s 3-0-0, U17s 1-1-1 and the U18s 0-2-1, after the event Ella was picked in the Best XI
The reporter wrote
"The U.S. U15 Girls National Team standout is a tremendous talent who continues to improve under the teaching of Campbell Chapman. She has a knack for reading the game and breaking down defenses that collapse on her in the middle of the field. Playing alongside Jennifer Westendorf certainly helps as well".
