Under 12 teams expand to having 12 - 14 players to a team. Practice sessions are 60 min long. Games are played in an 8 vs 8 format with a goalkeeper in the goal.
Teams are formed utilizing both assessments and player and coach requests in order to ensure as much parity as possible. Players are returned to their teams in the spring season.
UNIFORMS AND EQUIPMENT NEEDS
All players are required to wear shinguards to all soccer practices and games and provide a ball and water bottle for their personal use. Cleats may be worn during games but may not be worn during practices. Shinguards are required for all practices and games.
All U12 players wear the GSA uniform. If you do not have one, please order one during the registration process so that we may have it for you prior to the start of the season.
PROGRAM DATES AND DETAILS
These teams have two practices per week for one hour and one game per week for nine to ten weeks. Games begin the first Saturday after Labor Day in the fall and the first Saturday in March during the spring season. Practices begin two weeks prior to the first game of the season.
Most games will be played at the GSA Cole Road Complex, but depending on the number of GSA teams in the division, some play might be played at neighboring soccer associations in Gwinnett or Dekalb Counties.
