U14 - For players born in 2003 and 2004
U16 - For players born in 2001 and 2002
U19 - For players born in 1998, 1999 and 2000
U14 - U19 teams play 11 v 11 on full size adult fields. The number of players per team ranges from a maximum of 18 - 22 with the larger numbers for the oldest teams where school requirements can negatively impact soccer participation.
Teams are formed utilizing player and coach requests in order to ensure as much parity as possible. Players are returned to their teams in the spring season.
Teams in these age groups participate in the Regional Interleague Affiliate Scheduling (RIAS) program. In order to provide a competitive and complete season of games GSA partners with other clubs in our area to play games against each other. Scheduling is managed by a representative of GA Soccer.
PROGRAM DATES AND DETAILS
Games begin the second Saturday in September for the fall season and the second Saturday in March for the spring season. Practices begin two weeks before the first games. You can expect 8 games and 10 practices each season barring any weather related cancellations.
Registration for our U14 -19 program is limited by the number of parents who volunteer to coach. We prefer to place two coaches per team to decrease the efforts involved team management and practice coverage. PLEASE CONSIDER SIGNING UP AS A COACH DURING REGISTRATION. Delays can occur in team formation if a shortage of coaches occur. Because of the RIAS scheduling these teams must be formed approximately one month before games are formed -- please register early.

Each U14 - U19 team practices twice a week in the evening. During the registration process we ask you to provide your preferred day and time for practice. Our Age Group Commissioners who put the teams together) will do their best to meet your needs as best as they can. We must match the practices requests from the coaches with the parent requests; practice day and time requests are therefore, not guaranteed to be met.
Games are held on Saturdays during the hours of 8 am and 5 pm. Schedules are provided one week before games begin.
BRING TO EACH SESSION
Every player should bring their own size 5 ball to practice. Each play must wear shinguards at all times; these can be purchased at a local sporting goods store. Recreation players wear one of their jerseys to practice and the other to games each week. Your coach will let you know which to wear. Cleats or turf shoes are not required; standard athletic shoes are fine for this age. Bring a large bottle of water and consider bringing a small snack.
