Announcement of Merger between Gwinnett Soccer Association and Dacula Revolution

Press Release from March 1, 2017

We are pleased to announce that the two leading youth soccer organizations in Gwinnett County will become one club starting with the Fall 2017 season. Gwinnett Soccer Association (GSA) and Dacula Soccer Club (DSC) share the vision to serve the soccer families of Northeast Metro Atlanta and the Gwinnett County communities to the highest possible standard. By bringing together these two top programs, thousands of players, elite staff, top notch facilities, and an unmatched customer service experience, Gwinnett County and the surrounding communities will have a home for all their soccer experiences. Our club will allow all youth to have expanded opportunities to play the sport at the level that meets their specific individual needs.

Gwinnett Soccer Association has been a part of the South-Central Gwinnett community for over 30 years and is one of the largest clubs in our state. Under the leadership of the coaching staff at GSA, they have produced numerous professional and national team players over the years such as: Walker Zimmerman (FC Dallas/USMNT), Ella Stevens (Duke/USWNT), Cody Mizell (USYNT), Malcolm Miller (USYNT), DeAndre Robinson (USMNT), Ado Junuzovic (Bosnian YNT), Jayshon Simmons (Bermuda YNT), Chad Letts (Jamaican YNT), Kendall Edwards (Jamaican YNT), Liam Butts (Jamaican YNT), Jack Falle (USYNT), Dominic Bonilla (USYNT), Blake Brettschneider (DC United/USMNT), Kevan George (Columbus Crew/Jamaican MNT), Jennifer Westendorf (Notre Dame/Brazil YNT), Alexa Newfield (Kansas City NWSL/USYNT), Chris Duvall (Montreal Impact), Cody Cropper (New England Revolution/USYNT), and many others.

GSA is nationally recognized as an elite club that competes at the highest levels both in the U.S. Youth Soccer National Championship Series and is a founding member of the Elite Club National League (ECNL). Following the success of the Girls ECNL, GSA is also a founding member of the Boys ECNL set to come online this Fall. The new, comprehensive pathway will give players the opportunity to play at the highest level of player and club centered programming available in North America.

Built from deep roots within the Northeastern Gwinnett Community of Dacula, DSC has been built from the ground up, boasting one of the largest and well-run recreation programs in the state. Over, the past 15+ years, DSC has tirelessly committed their focus to becoming a regionally recognized name for developing players to compete at the highest level in competitive programs.

Dacula Soccer Club ranks as one of the largest 5 soccer clubs in all of Georgia, and has continued to grow and improve, year in and year out, at Gwinnett County’s beautiful Rabbit Hill Park Soccer complex. Currently, DSC is the largest soccer club in Gwinnett County fostered through a partnership with the exceptional Gwinnett County Parks and Recreation Department. DSC has recently expanded it’s programming into Central Gwinnett by means of Rhodes Jordan Park in Lawrenceville.

The strategic merger of these two clubs will be an unprecedented move to unite Gwinnett County under one banner.
