| Games |
| All teams are guaranteed 3 games and no
games will be played on Friday. Please reserve Friday
afternoon/evening for team check-in. Games will be held
on Saturday Dec 5th and Sunday Dec 6th. |
| Application |
|
All applications are processed online.
You are not required to pay online but we request all teams
register online and provide player information for our
program. You will receive an email confirmation when
your application is submitted. If you register with a
credit card, your card will not be charged until your
application is accepted. When your application is
accepted, you will receive another email and a notice that
your charge has been processed.
If you choose to mail a check, your check
must be received within 10 days of your application,
otherwise your application will be withdrawn.
All teams need to register by November 6, 2009

| Trophies |
|
Individual trophies will be presented to champions and
finalists.
|
| Eligibility |
|
The Academy Invitational is open to boy's and girl's
Academy (U10-U12) competitive club teams. This is a US Youth
Soccer Association sanctioned
tournament through the Georgia State Soccer Association. All
teams must be in good standing with their state association. |
| Rules |
| All games are played in accordance with FIFA rules, except
as specially modified by Tournament Rules. A full set of Tournament
Rules can be found on this website. |
| Team Check-In |
|
Team Check-In will be held from 11 am - 2
pm and from 5 pm - 9 pm on Friday, Dec 4 2009 at the GSA
Clubhouse. GSA is located at 925 Cole Road in
Lilburn, GA, directly across the street from Parkview High
School. For driving directions, please
CLICK HERE. Teams are required to present the
following items at Check-In.
- A copy of your state issued team roster
(tournament keeps a copy)
- Laminated player pass for each player, including guest players
- Signed medical release form for each player, including guest
players. The medical release forms your team used
throughout the season are fine and there is no
requirement for them to be notarized.
- A state-approved permission to travel for each
team outside of Georgia.

Groups |
U10 will play 6v6
U11 will play 8v8.
U12 will play 8v8.Boys and Girls divisions at all three age groups. |
| Location |
| The tournament will use fields at the GSA Complex,
Granite Field & Henderson Park. Specific
playing locations will be determined after the tournament
application deadline. |
| Officials |
| 6v6 games will have one (1)
certified official and U11 & U12 games will have three (3)
certified officials. |

Referees |
| Referees from out of the area are welcome to
apply. Please email the
Referee Assignor

| Guest
Players |
| Up to 3 guest players are permitted
as long as you do not exceed the maximum number of players
allowed for your age group/playing division. |

Hotels |
|
GSA does not make reservations but we have provided a list
of hotels that are "soccer friendly" and have offered
special rates to teams attending the tournament. This
includes GSA's host hotel, the Atlanta Marriott on Pleasant
Hill Rd. We have met with these hotels and they
understand the special needs of teams traveling. These
hotels have extended a special discounted price to
participating teams. Please make sure you specify you
are attending a GSA tournament to get this discount. |

Notice: No refunds will be issued unless
your application is not accepted. |
| To
Obtain a Permission to Travel Form |
| Teams traveling from outside of
Georgia will need a copy of the tournament's Permission
to Host Form to obtain a state-approved Permission
to Travel Form. |
| Head
coaches with more than one team |
| Please indicate on your application if you are
the head coach of more than one team. The tournament
scheduler will make their best effort to not schedule
conflicting games but cannot guarantee there will not be
conflicts. Please only ask for consideration if
you are the head coach. |
