What is my player's age group?
Beginning Fall 2016, GSA Junior Academy, Academy and Select teams will be organized by Calendar Year where players born between January 1 to December 31 will be placed into one age group. The club will continue to place players on teams based on age appropriate level of play and ability.
For the 2018-19 seasonal year, our age groups will align with the following Calendar Year guidelines.

What do I need to wear? What do I bring?
- GSA Players will receive information from their coach or director as to what they should wear to tryouts.
- Non-GSA players are free to wear comfortable soccer-appropriate gear.
- Players are required to wear shin guards and shoes (cleats or turfs).
- Each player should bring a ball and water.
Do I need to attend all three tryout nights?
- It is highly recommended that players attend all three nights.
- If you are unable to do so, contact the corresponding coach for your age group prior to tryouts. Staff lists are posted under About GSA.
What if I am ill or injured prior to or during tryouts?
- Complete the registration process online and include a note as to your specific situation.
- Contact the corresponding coach for your age group prior to tryouts. Staff lists are posted under About GSA.
- It is recommended that injured players attend tryouts but once there, they will not participate.
Can I try out for multiple clubs?
- Players are free to investigate other clubs to determine what is best for each player and their family.
- Our staff are always available to answer questions about our program.
- Open communication is important so we know your intentions.
What is the cost of Academy & Select soccer at GSA?

Will I be able to meet coaches at tryouts?
- The coaches for next year’s teams will be at tryouts in most cases.
- Information about each coach & their coaching experience will be made available on this website.
